Wow ~ Can you believe Zack is still wearing a cast... It's been almonst 10 weeks! He went Tuesday & got his full leg cast off & got a below the  knee cast.  Thursday he went to school with NO WHEELCHAIR! He's on his crutches full time now. On October 27th he gets his half cast off & then he will wear a CAM BOOT! Don't know how long he'll have to wear this.....

Scott has been redesigning the practice track at our house. Zack & Andy are very excited about the new track. Of course we have no idea as to when Zack will be able to ride again but the track will be ready & waiting. It will probably be January!!! But his spirits are high & he still wants to ride!

I promise to try & keep this thing a lil more updated. Just not a lot going on since Zack broke his leg. Just a lot of waiting & counting down the days till he'll be better!

Sorry I haven't posted but we had some bad luck at our race July 29th Friday!!! Zack wrecked and broke his right leg. Both bones in the bottom of his leg. We just came home from the hospital a few days ago. He's in a wheelchair at the moment with a full leg cast. Looks like about 6-8 weeks till that cast comes off. 

How he wrecked you may ask: Well it rained on us all the way to the track. It was still a light rain when we got there. Andy decided not to race because the track was muddy & slick. But Zack still wanted too. Anyways ~ he came around a burm & the bike got a lil loose on him. Then he jumped a double & kinda lost control. He came off the bike & the bike landed on his leg.

He's doing pretty good right now. Still wanting to race! I'll keep yall updated on all the news of his recovery! Hopefully by January 2006 we will be back on the race track...... looking for sponsors! We are not sure yet if Andy will be racing or taking off till 2006! We will just have to see!

I've started this journal to keep up with all of my boys racing information. We've been racing off & on since my boys were 3 &4. Been out of the race scene for 3 years & now we are back. So far we have raced about 5 races. Things are looking really good. The boys seem to really like it.

At our first race back in June.... Andy had a really bad accident. He was hit by another racer. He went down jumping a double. The wreck didn't hurt him. When he stood up to get back on his bike another kid jumped into him. Well, we got to spend a few hours at the hospital. Thank goodness no broken bones. A lot of brusies...and a muffler burn to the back. His brother Zack brought home a 4th place trophy that night.

Both of my boys race in the 85cc Beg. Class together. Yes it makes for a lot of interesting stuff. Brothers racing on the track together.....

All of our other races have gone great. No more bad wrecks. We just raced Saturday Night at ICR. Zack had a lot of bad luck but he made the best of it... He was running in 3rd in the first race. Then he went down in a burm & the bike feel on his leg. Had a hard time getting the bike off of him. He was able to make up a few spots & come in 8th spot. He wasn't really happy with that. Andy had a lil trouble coming out of the starting gate. He came in 6th in the first race.

The 2nd moto of the race was interesting: Andy got a pretty good start & was able to hold 6th place. Zack got hung up in the starting pretty good. Scott had to help him get out.... he was in dead last....(10th Place). He was on fire... he was able to move his self into 4th by the end of the race.

There overall standings were:

Andy: 6th (1st Moto) , 6th (2nd Moto) = Overall Placing 7th

Zack: 8th(1st Moto), 4th (2nd Moto) = Overall Placing 6th

Tonight we are going to HIGH FALLS SX Track to practice for Fridays Race!
